The White Hart, Overton Hotel is in the centre of the village of Hook. It was a 16th Century coaching house and the 5th licenced premises in England. The hotel is approximately ten minutes from Basingstoke, two minutes from the M3 and less than five minutes from Hook train station. The station is on the main line to Waterloo and about one hour away.
The facility has 21 rooms, with tea and coffee making facilities. In-room entertainment includes a TV with news channels and free movies.
The main public house is a charming, traditional pub lodging. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking.
The highly rated on-site pub restaurant serves food from 12 noon until 9:30pm and offers a wide menu. Room service is available during limited hours.

Guests who visited for adult, romantic getaways, such as Valentine’s Day, gave the hotel a thumbs up. The overwhelming majority of guests gave both on-site food taste and presentation very high marks.

The hotel’s facilities need a bit of an upgrade.
The hotel oozes nostalgic charm, but some guests thought it could do with selective upgrades. Many noted the carpet is a bit threadbare and pictures posted by guests illustrate this. Many guests were not happy with shower water pressure. Room temperature
