Positive Reviews
positive:
Convenient for the metro
While the hotel was not right in the centre of Lisbon, this fact did not seem to bother any guests. They reported that it was not far away and that there was a metro station very nearby that would whisk them there in no time at all.
positive:
Decent value for money
Guests were in general pretty happy with the value for money they received. They reckoned the room rate was very low and that the good location near the metro station made the property a good deal.
positive:
Good for airport layovers
A fairly large number of guests used the hotel for an airport layover, saying that it wasn't far from there and that the area was a lot more interesting than where the typical airport hotels were.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Exceptionally poor breakfast
It was near impossible to find a kind word write about the breakfast. There were even very few neutral comments. Guests simply did not think much of the breakfast buffet, saying that the food often ran out and that what was there was poorly prepared and very uninspiring.
negative:
Run-ins with the desk clerk
While, of course, this wasn't a universal experience, a very worrying number of guests experienced significant problems with a desk clerk when trying to check in. In most of the cases there was some sort of problem with the booking, with guests saying the clerk dealt with the issue in a shockingly rude and aggressive manner.
negative:
Lift often out of order
Guests writing reviews over many months all mentioned that the lift was out of order for a time when they were staying there. It seems obvious that there is some sort of problem that results in it often being offline. Guests should be prepared for some stair climbing.
