Angela’s Guest Lodge is ideally suited for the weary traveler wanting to break up their long and tiresome journey into manageable driving segments. It is well suited for those who wish to spend some extra days enjoying all that the Karoo and Gariep Dam area has to offer. The lodge was formerly a single house that has been tastefully divided into 3 independent and private guesthouse units. It is the ideal stopover for guests after a stay of relaxation, and with a swimming pool available to use, you'll have every incentive to have a relaxing morning before continuing your journey. Each unit has extreme privacy with "kraal" type walls and stunning internal gardens, Angela's Guest Lodge is located within the Gariep Dam Village. The village is situated almost halfway between Cape Town and Johannesburg, and is only a couple of minutes away from the main N1 Highway, 44 kilometres north of Colesberg. The Karoo is truly a unique and beautiful place, with very little light pollution. At night, you can enjoy the stillness of the area as you look up at the brightly shining stars, and many guests enjoy trying to spot the moving satellites. Please note that there is no direct view of the Gariep Dam from our premises and that the units are constructed from pre-fabricated material.
