Glunz Ocean Beach Hotel and Resort (Marathon, USA)

The resort guests each have access to the private beach and many of the suites are literally steps away from it. You can enjoy the view from inside your room, join in on a beach yoga class, go swimming or simply lay down and enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. Also on site are two private piers for fishing and fishing gear can be rented from the front desk.

Each of the resort's three-bedroom villas has a private garage as well as access to a common swimming pool for the villas only. They are arranged over three storeys, have three bathrooms and a full kitchen and plenty of space inside and out for a family or large group to live comfortably.

From complimentary drinks or chocolates for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions to theme nights such as outdoor movie nights organised by the staff, a real personal touch is added to the experience of staying at the Glunz Beach Hotel.

Although there is a restaurant adjacent to the resort, there are no options for breakfast there or in the immediate vicinity, so guests staying in rooms without self-catering provisions generally do have to leave the compound to get breakfast and perhaps other meals if they want a change from the adjoined restaurant.

The parking facilities are a little limited and worth noting it's particularly difficult for those diving trailers or RV's.

Some guests have been uncomfortable with the set-up of the room and suite balconies which are not separated or enclosed from room to room, so often people could walk past you room to get to theirs, etc.
