The members of staff have been described as friendly and helpful in an unobtrusive way. They were always on hand when needed instead of the guests having to hunt around for them and were courteous and polite at all times.

Rooms in need of modernisation.
The rooms have been described as dated and tired by many of the guests. The facilities within the guest rooms are said to be quite basic whilst the furniture and the upholstery are described as worn and old fashioned.

Some of the guests have been critical of the cleanliness of their rooms stating that they have encountered dust, cobwebs and dirty carpets. Mold in the bathroom and dirty bed linen were some of the criticisms aimed at the poor level of hygiene.
