Essence hotel (New York, USA)

The complimentary breakfast is really good. It's just around the corner at the diner and it's really worth the short walk!

The room size is questionable but clean, and the beds are comfortable. That's all you need if you are going to tire yourself out exploring the city during the day, and only want to nod off for a few hours at night.

The location is superb! It's easy to get around, and when it comes time for you to go to Manhattan, the subway is right there.

It's a fine hotel and the price is good; however, if you are going to be in your room a lot, this hotel may not satisfy your needs. In addition, there is a discotheque and skate park next to the hotel, so that means noise. If you are looking for a deep sleep at night in order to prepare for the next day's meetings, you'd best bring earplugs with you. To top it off, the air conditioning is noisy as well.

The rooms are extremely small, which means they are tiny. In fact, they are so tiny it's hard to walk around in them if there are two of you. If you have claustrophobia even in the slightest, you will have problems at this hotel.

Make sure you do your homework when booking this hotel. The advertisement does not actually match the reality, which can be a complete different from what is presented in photos!
