This is possibly one of the most peaceful and scenic locations you can find in the area. Here you’re away from the main “tourist roads” and yet close to everything that makes this part of France such a lovely place for a holiday. With only one other house nearby (which doesn’t overlook the garden), the track to this house leads directly into the forest and there are a number of walking routes through beautiful scenery. Within a short drive, you can travel through spectacular gorges, tiny villages set on the side of the mountain and rolling pastures – and visit ancient Cathar castles, traditional markets and extensive vineyards. During the summer you can practice all kinds of water sports nearby as well as adventure activities. In the winter you can go skiing in one of the ski villages nearby. The house is cozy and well-equipped, also the owners have taken a lot of care in choosing everything inside to make it feel like a home away from home. The living room opens to the terrace (TV has no reception is only for DVD playback)and in the open kitchen you can prepare French meals with fresh ingredients you just bought at the local market...
