A Holiday in the Mountains The magnificent panorama of the mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps is literally outside our front door. We offer the ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauty of this outstanding area. The Wildschönau Valley is steeped in legend and romance. Did you know that a dragon once lived here? The picturesque and rugged Kundl Gorge is an important part of the story and is just one of the many sights to visit. Wake up and savour the view over rolling green pastures awash with colourful alpine flowers and an entrancing mountain landscapes. They are all here for you to discover and admire. The Dorfjuwel Apartments are a home from home. This is what our guests are saying: ‘Beautifully appointed with tasteful decoration, you can see that the apartments have been designed with loving care’. ‘Everything was perfect, everything you need is there and the location is perfect too!’ A particular feature is the state of the art fresh air ventilation system which is sure to impress you. It allows fresh air to circulate even when the doors and windows are closed. Location Our Apartment House is located in the centre of Oberau. The ski school, ski hire shops, supermarket, bakery, restaurants, doctors and public bus stop can all be reached by foot. From outside the hotel a network of walking paths suitable for all levels of fitness invite you to explore the valley at leisure. Leisure Activities After a day in the mountains, what better way to chill out than to use our Finnish Sauna, infra-red cabin and relaxation room? We also have table tennis and table football available. If you fancy a treat whilst staying with us, you can make an appointment with Christina Erharter. She offers pedicures, manicures and cosmetic treatments. Her studio is next door. Gastronomy We can recommend the famous giant schnitzels at the Riedlhof, prepared by my brother, Josef, (www.riedlhof.at) as well as dishes cooked from home produced beef. It is also possible to book the generous breakfast buffet and/or half board in the Hotel Tirolerhof, one of our partners, which is only five minutes’ walk away.
