Positive Reviews
positive:
Area is convenient and full of charm
Many travellers have raved about this hotel's location, mostly because it is set in an untoursity neighbourhood which feels very local and authentic. The excellent access to public transport (metro station next door; tram terminal across the street) has proved a massive vote-winner too.
positive:
Soundproofing is very effective
It may be in a bustling neighbourhood within a buzzing metropolis but, according to a significant number of guests, you wouldn't know it when you're in your room. Clearly, the soundproofing here is top-notch.
positive:
Interiors still feel brand new inside
The vast majority of guests who've stayed here loved the fact that this ultra-modern hotel still has that brand new vibe about it. Evidently, the lobby, hallways and accommodations all look and feel like they've just had their protective wrappings removed.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Smells a bit fishy outside
It has been noted that the area immediately around the hotel is famed for its dried seafood shops. Numerous guests observed that the smell generated by these establishments can be pretty potent so it pays to be prepared when you step out of the hotel each day.
negative:
Bathrooms throw up some privacy issues
The quirky design of the contemporary doors on the guest room bathrooms is such that they actually have holes in. Needless to say, not many visitors appreciated the adverse effect this had on their privacy!
negative:
Breakfast option isn't so good
A number of guests were less-than-impressed with the somewhat convoluted and evidently rather unsatisfactory voucher-based breakfast system provided at a nearby cafe. That being said, the hotel will soon be opening its own on-site restaurant so this will hopefully cease to be an issue in the near future.
