djabu Seminyak Hotel (Kuta, Indonesia)

Many guests comment that they were exceptionally happy with the value they received, even if they sometimes experienced some minor issues.

D'djabu is situated close enough to the centre of Seminyak for its attractions to be easily accessed, but far enough away to offer a very peaceful and tranquil environment. The two pool areas were also a big hit, and a great relief on the hot, humid days.

A surprising number of guests commented that the air conditioning worked like a charm. It seems that hotels in the tropics often have inadequate air conditioning, but guests were happy this was not the case at D'djabu.

D'djabu is certainly not a beach hotel. While guests concede that they realised this before booking, many felt that the hassle of getting to the beach was a bit higher than they had anticipated, and wished they had booked at a beachfront hotel.

Quite a few guests commented that they could both see mould and damp in their rooms, and worse, smell it in the air. Some attempts were made to mask the aroma with incense, but not very successfully.

While this was not such a prevalent issue, the few who were requested to change rooms were both unhappy with having to move, and also with the staff's attitude when making the request. It left them with an unpleasant taste in their mouth.
