This hotel's central location by the bustling harbour appealed to reviewers for its wonderful and unique setting within the World Heritage Site Bryggen area dating back to the days of the Hanseatic League. Those on a city break could easily walk to shops, attractions, museums, markets, historic buildings, dining options and bars in Bryggen and the wider city centre. Moreover, Bergen Station for mainline trains to Oslo was about 15 minutes' walk away. Guests exploring the wider region also appreciated being within striking distance of Sognefjord, the largest fjord in Norway, plus several national parks such as Folgelfonna National Park with its glaciers.
