Small hotel means big service
Because this is a family owned property, you get the kind of personalized service you don’t receive in larger, chain hotels. Everyone on staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area and they strive to make your stay a pleasant one. They are happy to make suggestions for restaurants, shops and excursions and can help you with discounted ski lift tickets.
positive:
Room with a view
Some of the upgraded guest rooms at Ferrari’s Crown Resort offer spectacular views of Lake Tahoe. If this amenity is important to you, be sure make your request when booking as there are only a few of these rooms and they tend to fill up rather quickly.
positive:
A good value
This hotel offers a very competitive price point compared to other properties in the area. The central location, amenities and private beach access add to the value you get when staying here.
Negative Reviews
negative:
You may hear noise
Ferrari’s Crown Resort borders California Route 28 and the traffic noise can be quite prevalent, especially in the early morning hours. In addition, the walls and ceilings are not very well soundproofed and you may experience bleed-through noise from your neighbors.
negative:
Needs an update
This hotel was built in the 1950s and as such, it’s beginning to show its age. Although the rooms are clean, the furnishings and fixtures are dated as is most of the property.
negative:
The WiFi is spotty
The Wi-Fi can be slow and spotty in the guest rooms which could be problematic if want to use your electronic devices on demand.
