Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific location for families with children
The overwhelming majority of guests can't praise the hotel and its staff enough when it comes to how they cater to children. The hotel is described as putting on great activities for both young children and teenagers. In addition, many comment that their kids love the facilities in the leisure centre.
positive:
Great leisure facilities
Guests can't say enough good things about the on-site leisure centre. It seems, in fact, that return visitors do so specifically because of this centre. Although the town centre is well within walking distance, guests find that, when not touring, they spend much of their time in the leisure centre.
positive:
The staff are very friendly and welcoming
Again and again guests comment on how the staff made them feel welcome right from the very beginning. They are also described as terrific with children, keeping them engaged and entertained.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Separate charge for children's play area
While the hotel's suitability for children is beyond dispute, quite a few guests mentioned that there is a separate charge to access the children's play area. While they do realise these require supervisors, it was strongly felt that it should nevertheless be included in the rooms rate.
negative:
Children running amok
The hotel is overwhelmingly focused on catering to families with children, especially young children. It is certainly not a quiet environment. Quite a few guests describe an atmosphere sometimes a bit beyond boisterous, mentioning that during their stay young children were running up and down the hallways shouting in the early hours of the morning.
negative:
Some concern regarding the food
While most families staying here have a terrific time, there is some indication that the food is at best only “OK”. It may be best to tray some local dining as well.
