The hotel is located really close to the Underground station, from which you can get into the middle of London in under half-an-hour. The Tube line goes straight to Heathrow as well in no time. There is also a bus stop right in front of the property.

Civic Guest House won't win any awards for cleanliness. Everything feels like it could use a good wash. The general areas and guestrooms are a bit grubby and the bedding isn't as crisp and fresh as you'd like it to be.

The décor could use an update. The wallpaper is peeling, the curtains have holes in them and some of the windows don't close properly. On top of this, many of the guestrooms are very much on the small side.

Being close to Heathrow is certainly handy, but you should probably go to bed early, because the planes start to arrive at the airport in the early hours of the morning and cause quite the noise.
