Breakfast is a real treat and can be delivered to your room if you ask. The breakfast is simple with bread, fruit, and coffee, and other beverages, but it does the job.

The rooms are fine and the suites are even better. You have no less than two bathrooms, a nice sized private balcony, a four poster bed, adequate living room, dining room, and complete kitchen. It's a fantastic set-up.

The hotel location is near many of the best attractions and it's still quiet during the nighttime hours. You are near the French Quarter, Jackson Square, Cafe du Monte, the river, and much more.

You might run out of hot water or you could end up with no water at all. It seems that for whatever reason you may find yourself in the middle of a water must be boiled warning from the city, which means there is no water at all for a shower.

Have you ever stayed at a place where the air conditioning is controlled by the front desk? Well, that's how it is at this hotel. It seems strange in a way like a reality show. It's like the hotel spies on you, determines your comfort level, and then allows or withholds the air conditioning.

Though the hotel décor is charming, it could still use some updating. A fresh coat of paint, a bit of dusting and something to get rid of the musty smell and other changes, will make this hotel a real winner.
