About Biobagnolese Agriturismo
Agriturismo Biobagnolese was completely renovated in 2000, following the restoration of the old farm stand, in full respect of its original architecture. The bedrooms at the first floor of the homestead are perfect for couples and families and are equipped with essential services. The old stable now serving as a restaurant is characterised by a big chimney. Furniture include old tools used by the members of the family in the last century. Clients can taste a vast array of products, which are exclusively home-made and self-produced. The rooms are derived by the restoration of the old farm stand and are 12 square metres with en-suite bathroom. Furniture is simple and essential and beds are both single and double. The ceiling is characterised by exposed wooden beams and windows have kept their original architecture dating back to the beginning of 19th century, but have been renovated with double glass and solid wood. Indoor climate is fresh in summer and warm in winter. Electrical outlets are new and the wi-fi service covers the whole agritourism. Bathrooms are equipped with essential services, a shower, towels and a courtesy kit. The hamlet and the farm are surrounded by nature and fields in the wide countryside area between Orte, Vasanello and Gallese, along the old Roman street called Via Amerina, which connected nowadays Umbria region to Rome, and crossing the river Tiber at the old Roman river port of Seripola. The territory along the Via Amerina still preserves many well-known destinations as well as to-be-discovered ones such as Noble properties (the Palazzo Farnese at Caprarola, the Castle of Vignanello with its marvellous Italian gardens, and the Castle of Vasanello), the China Museum at Vasanello, the Park of the Monsters (or Sacred Grove) at Bomarzo, natural destinations as the ancient beech forest at Soriano nel Cimino, and the Natural Reserve of lake Vico. Of particular interest are also the Path of Light, which is a a pilgrimage path along the Via Amerina that connects Orte with Rome through the Tuscia region. Here, worth a visit are Orte Underground, the Castel Bagnolo grove, the Corchiano gorges, the many historical villages and the town of Civita Castellana surrounded by many archeological sites dating back to the Bronze Age, the Etruscan period, the Roman Age, the Baroque period and more modern attractions. Anmong others: Castel Sant’Elia and Falerii Novi. The hamlet and the farm can be easily reached by following the GPS coordinates N 42.40948°; E 12.38881° or by searching Agriturismo BioBagnolese on the web.
