About Herdade do Monte Outeiro

Herdade do Monte Outeiro was built on a hill in the centre of the farm providing our guests an unbroken view of the surrounding region. The Castles of Terena and Monsaraz can be appreciated from the porch, as well as the marvellous landscape of holm-oak trees, and olive trees; the owners raise cattle both cows and sheep. All animals live free in a natural environment. From the olive trees a most enjoyable olive oil is made; concerning sheep, the ewes' milk cheese is a must, honey and traditional cakes are natural products that you can appreciate here. The “Monte” as described above, is the “soul” of every activity. It is the place where all the sounds and all the scents get together in order to offer you the enjoyment of the moment. Near to the Spanish border and the Alqueva Lake the farm is located in Alandroal County, Èvora, a region known as the “deep Alentejo” included in the National Ecological Reserve and the Dark Sky. There are five double bedrooms with private bathroom and tv. The property also has two living rooms, both with traditional fireplaces. By the pool you also can enjoy your meals.
