Samuel and his family have restored this fascinating nineteenth-century house in the historic centre of Gergei using traditional and natural materials such stone, wood, cork, lime and river reeds. The interiors recreate the atmosphere of simplicity in which our ancestors lived. The lovely scent of the timber ceilings pervades the air, recalling what it was like to live in those bygone days. Domu Antiga is in the historic centre of Gergei. This rustic-style property boasts rooms with a balcony, a garden with wood-burning stove, and breakfast. Wi-Fi throughout is free. Offering wood-beamed ceilings and stone walls, rustic-style rooms at the Antiga come with wooden floors and a private bathroom. A library is also available. Handmade cakes, hams and cheeses, together with coffee and milk can be enjoyed every morning. They are served in the communal kitchen with fireplace.
