An Creagán is an award winning Bed & Breakfast located on Inis Oírr the smallest of the three Aran Islands. Situated on the western front of the island with uninterrupted views one is spoiled with spectacular sunsets all year round. Your hosts Ciarán and Nollaig aim to enable guests to experience a memorable and relaxing stay in a unique location of peaceful and natural beauty. The house was designed and built by Ciarán, a native of Inis Oírr with a long tradition of local craftsmanship. The design is based on that of the traditional Aran thatch cottage with modern eco-friendly design aspects. Some eco-friendly aspects include solar panels supplying hot water all summer long. A backup hot water supply for cloudy or rainy days by a super efficient condensing boiler. Waste is separated and recycled. Food waste goes into composting or feeds our own hens which give us a good return in fresh free range eggs for your freshly cooked breakfast.
