Because it is so popular, and has won many awards for its food, most agree that the food itself is wonderful. Guests were especially fond of the food at Brooks Restaurant, as well as the hotel breakfasts. They all say that once you've eaten there, you'll definitely want to return.
One of the things all guests agreed upon is that this hotel is peaceful and relaxing. It is located far enough away from major attractions that noise and crowds are not a problem at all. The hotel's décor and spa services make it ideal if you want to go on a quiet retreat with your spouse.
Although there are a lot of things to do in County Kerry, most are not within walking distance of the hotel. Therefore, it's best to bring or rent a car in order to see the sights.

If you plan to stay during the rainy season, be prepared to curl up and read a lot of books. Unfortunately, many of the best area attractions are outside and best accessed in good weather. Indoor activities in the area are hard to come by. Although, it is still possible to drive to nearby shops or eateries.
